Acceptable Use Policy

Update: 14 October 2026

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Volution provides websites, landing pages, learning experiences, resources and digital learning portals to support learning, reflection, development and responsible participation. This Acceptable Use Policy explains how visitors and participants are expected to use these spaces.

This policy applies to Volution websites, funnels, accounts, learning portals, materials and related online services. It should be read alongside our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

2. RESPECTFUL PARTICIPATION

We ask everyone using Volution's spaces to engage with care, respect and consideration for the dignity, rights and wellbeing of others. Where an experience includes shared or interactive spaces, participants must not threaten, harass, intimidate, discriminate against or deliberately harm others.

Different perspectives and respectful disagreement are welcome. Abuse, impersonation and deliberate misrepresentation are not.

3. PERSONAL LEARNING CONTENT AND PRIVACY

Personal journal entries, learning reflections and completed workbook responses are intended for the participant's own learning and development. Participants must respect the confidentiality and privacy of others and must not access, disclose, reproduce or share another person's private information or learning content without appropriate permission.

Feedback, testimonials or contributions deliberately submitted for sharing are distinct from private learning records and are handled under the Privacy Policy.

4. ACCOUNTS AND ACCESS

Participants are responsible for taking reasonable care of their login credentials and for activity carried out through their accounts. Please notify Volution promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Users must not attempt to enter another person's account, bypass access controls, interfere with security features, or gain access to restricted areas or information without permission.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, USE AND REFERENCING OF VOLUTION MATERIALS

Unless otherwise stated, the original content, learning frameworks, methodologies, models, concepts as expressed in our materials, programme designs, written teachings, exercises, workbooks, graphics, audio, video, branding and other creative resources made available by Volution are owned by Angela Gail James trading as Volution, or used with permission from their respective rights holders, and are protected to the extent provided by applicable intellectual property law.

Access to Volution materials grants permission to engage with them for the personal learning or other specific purpose for which access was provided. It does not transfer ownership or grant a general licence to reproduce, distribute, adapt, teach, license, sell or commercially exploit the materials.

We welcome thoughtful discussion and appropriate referencing of our work. When quoting or referring to identifiable Volution materials, please acknowledge the creator and source clearly, for example: “Angela Gail James, Volution, [title of resource or programme], [year where known], [URL where available].” Attribution does not itself grant permission to reproduce substantial extracts, diagrams, exercises, workbook pages, course structures or other protected content.

Please obtain prior written permission from Volution before reproducing, adapting, translating, distributing, publishing, teaching from, incorporating into another course or product, or using Volution materials commercially, except where applicable law or an express licence permits the use. Any permission granted may specify the scope of use and the required attribution.

Participants retain their rights in original personal reflections, journal entries and workbook responses that they create. Their ownership of their own contributions does not extend to the underlying Volution templates, prompts, illustrations or other protected learning materials.

Nothing in this policy restricts uses permitted by applicable law, including lawful quotation, fair dealing or other statutory exceptions, or claims ownership over ideas and principles that are not legally protected as intellectual property.

For permission requests or questions about attribution, contact [email protected].

6. PROHIBITED USE

Volution services must not be used to:

• Break applicable laws or infringe another person's rights, including privacy or intellectual property rights.

• Upload, transmit or distribute malware or other harmful code.

• Attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security or disrupt the availability of a website or learning portal.

• Harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against or abuse another person.

• Impersonate Volution, its representatives or other participants, or falsely suggest endorsement or affiliation.

• Publish or transmit unlawful, fraudulent or deliberately harmful content.

• Collect other people's personal information without proper authority.

• Use Volution services to send unsolicited promotional messages or spam.

• Misuse learning materials or platform features in a way that materially harms the experience of others.

7. CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Volution respects the rights, dignity, privacy and wellbeing of children and young people. Where they participate in an experience, participants, parents, guardians and facilitators are expected to support age-appropriate, respectful and safe engagement. Applicable legal requirements for consent and protection of children's personal information continue to apply.

8. RESPONDING TO CONCERNS

If we become aware of conduct that appears to breach this policy, we may investigate and take proportionate steps to protect participants, the learning environment and our systems. Depending on the circumstances, these may include contacting the participant, removing shared content, restricting features, suspending access or terminating an account, subject to applicable law and our Terms of Use.

Where reasonably possible and appropriate, we will explain the concern and provide an opportunity to respond. Serious unlawful conduct may be referred to relevant authorities when legally required or justified.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, technology or legal requirements. The current version will be made available through our websites or learning portals.
